Hi my name is Jo Gore. I am, first and foremost, a parent of two adopted Taiwanese girls along with my husband David. I am also a psychotherapist in private practice mostly with adults on a one to one basis. I find there are many different concerns people bring to therapy. My main areas of expertise lie in the following areas – Adult survivors of childhood trauma e.g. abuse, death of a parent; Anger; Anxiety; Communication Issues; Depression; Existential or Spiritual issues; Grief and loss; Life Transitions; Parenting especially adoptive; Post-traumatic stress disorder; Trauma recovery; Low self esteem.
I offer supervision on an individual and group basis for therapists, case workers, pastoral carers and other church workers, and ministers of religion. And, with my dear friend and colleague Jacquie Martin, I run workshops for parents and carers, especially those who have fostered or adopted. My family, friends and my work are my three great passions and because of these I feel held and connected in the world.
